ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a book title - I hate you, don't leave me - it's for borderline, but i think it works here too, i do the same, push away those to save them - but perhaps they wont leave because they don't need to be saved, you do xxxx
ReplyDeleteI've read the book Amaris Starshine mentioned...and I agree; there is no need to save anyone else from their own decisions. Making their choices from them is like taking away their freedom to feel however they please. And if what pleases them is caring for you, and the hurt is worth the pleasure...let them care.

Omygosh...These were the exact same thoughts I used to have while pushing away my boyfreind, (now fiance). I didnt think I was worthy of him, you see. Maybe pushing them away, isnt as good for them as you might think? Just a thought.
